Description
These heating appliances have been in use for well over 100 years as a sole source of heating or as a supplement to a more conventional heating system within a dwelling. Wood stoves of all ages can be found in cottages, boat houses, garages, and of course in the home.
Until approximately 1978 there were no regulations on the construction or the installation of wood stoves. Even today, some new, certified units have been improperly installed.
Our WETT certified inspectors can provide a detailed report on the installation of the Wood Heat System. We inspect wood stoves (solid fuel appliances) with a zero tolerance approach. When we encounter a system which does not meet the current standards, we recommend the deficiency be corrected or the system be disconnected.
